Health visitors. 

Your health visitor is a trained nurse or midwife and specialises in the health and development of children in their Early Years (from birth to five). 

 

The health visitors can help with:

-Post-natal depression

-Emotional Support

-Children's growth and development

-Feeding your baby, including breastfeeding and weaning support. 

- Healthy eating and exercise.

-Staying safe and preventing accidents.

-Behavioural support. (Including sleep, toilet-training, teething and nutrition.)

-Immunisations.

-Some medication prescriptions.

- Common childhood infections and skin conditions. 

-Support for children with special educational needs and disabilities. 

-Domestic abuse.
