Faraway Tree Kindergarten is a spectacular learning environment for children aged 2-5years. I love that my child learns through being around a natural environment where they can build positive friendships with children and staff, learn and improve on their core skills learning whilst exploring.
The photos on the website and Facebook pages truly are typical of their day at kindergarten, whether it be climbing on fallen trees, splashing in puddles, handling nature’s bugs in the allotments, feeding donkeys, or sailing a cardboard pirate ship wearing their painted hats and telescopes.
My child has needed additional support in one particular area, and the staff (and assigned key worker) have regular 1:1 sessions during activities to enhance the learning and keep me informed regularly with milestone reviews and are happy to share my child’s accomplishments on parent pick-up.
In my mind, Faraway Tree is excelling at getting my child “ready for school”..... learning to make friends, counting, alphabets, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, make good decisions, language and building confidence that they can do anything.
I would want to learn here.... it’s a fun, enthusiastic, adventurous, skill-filled, kind and happy kindergarten; I fully recommend and couldn’t have found a better place for my child.

He loves this place. Walks in the woods, lambs, puddles, sticks, what more could a two year old want? Oh, and lovely, caring staff. If you have a child of preschool age, and are local (ish) you should give it a go.
